Fishing 4 Freedom is inspired by the true story: Lone Survivor and all the heroes of the United States Armed Forces, past and present. The idea was first discussed in August 2008, during an annual fishing tournament in La Paz Baja California Sur, where (then) strangers, Greg David and Anthony Buich were competing against one another.  Anthony mentioned his desire to do something significant and memorable with his charters for our Special Operations soldiers. He did not know that Greg along with many of his immediate family members are retired military.  Since that August meeting, these 2 are taking great pride in their efforts to build Fishing 4 Freedom into a major, annual fundraising program for the highly awarded charities: Special Operations Warrior Foundation and The Wounded Warrior Project.  On behalf of the F4F staff, resort Gran Sueno, and members of the United States military, we would like to thank those who have supported our efforts, especially our "Platinum Sponsor" Mid-Atlantic Marine Group.
